Monitor Setup

This is the layout of programs on my screens during the trading day:

Top left

  • TradingView charts 8x layout - I usually have use the first 4 panels for broader market indices (SPY, QQQ) and VIX or BTC and the other 4 panels for secondary watches

Top center

  • Broker platform software - four execution montage/level 2 windows where I execute trades along with portfolio and position list

Top right

  • TweetDeck - useful tool where you can see multiple twitter lists in one screen

  • TradingView stock screener/scanner - intraday scanner, can be for top gainers or gappers or any criteria

Bottom left

  • TradingView charts 8x layout - stocks I'm watching on the side

Bottom center

  • TradingView charts 6x layout - primary window where I annotate and analyse charts on a single stock, 6 charts are on different timeframes but charts can easily be enlarged/fit to screen with hotkeys

Bottom right

  • Discord

  • Benzinga Pro - live news via Squawk audio and searching for specific stock related news

  • Excel - spreadsheet to quickly calculate shares and risk for trades

Journalling

Microsoft OneNote - I use this to save screenshots and notes of annotated charts. Another alternative is EverNote

TraderVue - Excellent trading journal that provides many useful statistics. You can import all your trades by exporting trade extracts from most brokers. This is part of my daily routine to tag and review trades, as well as further analysis of results after every week and month.

Kinfo - Another trading journal that has a social leaderboard feature where you can see trades shared by other people. Automatically syncs with a variety of brokers and provides some useful statistics.
